Snowy Cabin Elopement in Pinetop, Arizona

Alright everyone, go ahead and grab your hot cocoa and favorite cozy sweater as we dive on into this snowy cabin elopement! This winter wonderland of a wedding really pulled out all the stops for all things cozy, whimsical, romantic and sweet. I could not have been more thrilled! For Chris and Liz’s beautiful intimate cabin elopement we found ourselves at the incredibly beautiful and cozy GetAway Frame located in Pinetop, Arizona. Let me tell you, this location was an absolute dream! But, let’s be honest… when you have a couple as kind-hearted and loving as Chris and Liz you already know the day is 100% going to be a good one.

I adored these two from the start. Seriously, from the date they booked with me to the end of their elopement day I had gained such a huge appreciation for them. Their love for one another and for their friends and family was so inspirational and sweet to watch. From the start it was clear that this is just how they are! In fact, our two lovebirds did things a little different than most of my couples. For this winter cabin elopement our groom took the lead. Chris took on all things planning and booking because he didn’t want his future wife to have any kind of stress for their wedding day. In fact, Liz had actually just had a baby! Wow, it was so sweet that Chris took the initiative and allowed her to relax and enjoy a beautiful wedding day without the added stressors that usually come with the planning and details.

I must admit, I’m giving Chris a 10/10 for his planning skills. Their day was perfect!

Chris and Liz kept their elopement super intimate which was perfect for them and their little family. The ceremony took place out in the yard of GetAway Frame and they married under a beautiful pentagon-shaped altar that had some simple floral touches and matched the remainder of their wedding day decor. I was obsessed with how they included small benches with colorful blankets lining the rug-marked aisle for their family and friends to sit on. The overall vibe was so cozy, perfect for this chilly day!

Chris really nailed it on all of the details, so much so that even the reception was perfect! It was amazing to see the effortless kind of love that Chris and Liz share reflected through their wedding day design. The community style dinner table had a gorgeous peach gauze runner that graced the table. The movement drew our eye down the table through all of the beautiful little details woven within. Simple floral arrangements of waxflower and other simple blooms were carefully placed in terracotta pots and little brown bottles. The floral arrangements were complimented by taper candles in ceramic and brass candlesticks; small votives also dotted the table. No detail was spared, even the place settings were effortlessly beautiful. Made up of a simple white plate, gorgeous gold flatware, mixed-glassware and a knotted cloth napkin; I just loved how it all came together!

I’m telling you, this wedding did not disappoint! It was a chilly day but the environment was full of warmth.

It was so special watching the guests snuggle up with loved ones at the ceremony and to see the all-togetherness vibe carried on through their family style dinner. The wedding was incredibly intimate and such a fun winter cabin elopement to photograph. One of my favorite parts of it all is that there was snow on the ground! Chris and Liz really embraced the environment for their portraits and were willing to venture out into the snow with me (shoutout to Liz for being willing to embrace the cold and take her fur shawl off for a few photos!)

When the sun set, the reception dinner absolutely glowed in the warmth of the candlelight. First dances were held just off the patio on top of some mix-matched rugs and even though the temperature was dropping, everyone was just having the best time! After enjoying some delicious dinner and cake, Chris and Liz’ cabin elopement day was coming to an end. I absolutely loved being a part of their wedding day and the fact that I get to witness love like theirs daily is just the best feeling in the world!
