Okay everyone, you’re not ready for this session. It’s been a few weeks and I am still laughing at how much fun we had! I mean seriously, Megan and Deonte are an absolute dream couple. I brought them to our original Studio House location in Mesa, Arizona and we just had a blast. You can seriously feel their love radiate off of them and feel it through their contagious smiles! Megan and Deonte are the definition of lighthearted fun; I’m convinced they never spend a day without laughing. These two really know how to embrace every moment, which I find so inspiring! Their relationship with each other is special and real. They have always had a blast doing whatever it is that they’re doing, not to mention — looking GOOD while they’re at it!

I want to take a moment to gush about how much I love holding sessions at the Studio House, they are sooo special.

With the location itself being an actual house the whole session feels like we’ve stepped into the couples life just for a moment. The private and “at-home” vibe allows couples to feel comfortable in their surroundings. The Studio House invites us into a very intimate environment that I think hones in directly on the love my clients share. While vast landscapes and the beauty of the outdoors is amazing I do have a soft spot for sessions like Megan and Deonte’s. When you’re able to pull away from the background and really zero in on your subject it is a wonderful thing.

Back to Megan and Deonte… want to know what I loved the most about this session? How natural it all felt! From the way they styled themselves to how they acted in front of the camera it just felt like I was a fly on the wall! Megan and Deonte weren’t even phased by there being a camera snapping their every move. This stylish duo was camera ready; Megan wore denim cutoffs and a white crochet halter top while Deonte sported some light wash ripped jeans and a brown t-shirt. And to top it all off both of our lovebirds chose to go barefoot! They were absolutely glowing!

We started the session with a few “formal” photos to get them comfortable with the location and camera and allow them time to warm up to the idea of letting loose and having fun.

The way I view my sessions is that it's their job to have a great time and my job to capture it all! Once they were feeling comfortable it was time to hit the floor… literally, these two just plopped right down and sat face to face for some shots that I found to be so intimate and pure! After these love bugs posed for a few more romantic shots, they were ready to let their goofiness show. I brought a film camera and had them take photos of each other and the laughter was non-stop! I am confident they were capturing moments and making memories that they’ll remember and share throughout their lifetime of love.

As we wrapped up the fun we took some time for a few more traditional shots against a gorgeous deep beige wall. The colors these two wore worked so well with the color palette of this space I didn’t want to stop snapping photos! And thankfully, this wasn’t the last time I was going to spend with them. I had so much fun with Megan and Deonte on this day and it just has me SO excited for their wedding in Cancun later this year! We’ll be swapping the Arizona heat for the Mexico beaches and I already know their wedding is going to be SO. MUCH. FUN! Be sure to keep an eye out for that later this year!!
