Desert Elopement in Page, Arizona | Sara + Chris

Sara and Chris, I love your heart filled day, bursting with sentimental touches and pure love! Being from out of state, these two completely leaned in and trusted me from the very start for their desert elopement in Page, Arizona. It was so much fun being able to help them choose unique locations for their ceremony and couple’s portraits, and to see how blown away they were by the scenery! Sara and Chris had never travelled to Arizona before, and didn’t know exactly what to expect. It was so cool being a local seeing someone else experience our state for the very first time.

Sara and Chris centered their desert elopement around what truly mattered most, their love for one another and the love they share for their families.

Sara actually hand made her own wedding dress! She included pieces of both Chris and her own mother’s dresses in the design. It was SO special and heart filled – not to mention crazy talented! They also wanted to make Chris’ daughter feel special and included. You could feel the tangible bond Sara and her already have and see how important she is in their lives. The morning of, we had a private session together at Horseshoe Bend where they had a little family picnic for breakfast. It was truly heart warming and the sweetest thing!

After the ceremony, we took a RZR ride to an epic lookout at Lake Powell for sunset – one of my top favorite spots!

I love getting to share some of my favorite locations with my couples and the experience of being out in the desert with them – especially when it’s their first time! It was really fun to see how blown away Chris and Sara were at the scenery and see it all through their eyes. These two know what’s important to them and I love that so much. Sometimes, keeping it simple and going on an adventure with your nearest and dearest is just the thing!
