Epic Helicopter Alaska Elopement | Camille + Robert
Who says you can’t marry the love of your life more than once? Especially if you can plan your dream Alaska elopement and was it ever a DREAM come true! Definitely in the top 5 of my favorite days on earth so far! I’ve had the chance to photograph Camille and Robert multiple times over the years. I love this couple so much! Camille and Robert are the ultimate adventurous couple. They are down for literally anything and their Alaska elopement was the ultimate adventure for them (and me!!). You couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces the entire day and for a good reason!
Our Alaska elopement adventure started with a helicopter ride to a secret iceberg-filled lagoon surrounded by a glacier before we flew off to an epic mountain top.
We were surrounded by hanging glaciers, blue glacial pools, waterfalls, and the most breathtaking views. Camille and Robert’s epic love was matched by the epic location. Every shot looked like something straight out of a movie with Camille’s hair and gown blowing in the breeze and Robert’s blue suit popping off the backdrop. Every once in a while, you could hear a loud cracking sound when parts of the icebergs would break off, followed by a loud crash into the water. Such a surreal experience, and being the only humans there for miles made it even more unforgettable. When we touched down, Edmund, our pilot gave us a pistol to use in case we happened to run into grizzly bears because apparently they were really common in the area. It was WILD.
The most epic adventure I’ve ever had in my life.
I still feel the adrenaline rush when I look at these photos. There is nothing else in this world that sets my soul on fire more than experiences like this.
