Halloween Sedona Elopement | Kara + James

Kara and James’ Halloween Sedona Elopement was all things magical! They were unapologetically themselves and the result was unapologetically awesome! With James being a designer and Kara having amazing taste – you know it was going to be picture perfect! James pulled together so many amazing details that I loved shooting and can you believe Kara made her own AMAZING bouquet?! It was filled with dried floral in hues of orange – the epitome of Halloween beauty. They both rocked black from head to toe making the dark tones as cool as could be. But let’s all take a minute to appreciate all the cuteness their French Bulldog brought to the day – I’m biased, but I love a good Frenchie moment!

Kara and James LOVE Halloween and wanted their day to reflect that.

Their wedding rings were engraved with “Til Death'' and Kara rocked a hand painted leather jacket made to match. Vows were exchanged in an intimate ceremony at Bell Rock in Sedona, known for it’s vortex energy and iconic shape. Kara and James set up and styled the whole thing themselves complete with a smudging stick ceremony, wine, and a black candelabra. After their I Do’s, the officiant’s wife played guitar and sang for their first dance – seriously so special! The intimacy of elopements gets me every time.

For sunset we loaded up into my UTV and headed up to Merry Go Round Rock – one of my favorite spots to shoot!

This epic spot has the most amazing views and we took full advantage until the sun went down. Kara and James snuggled up on sky high rocks with all of Sedona below. Halloween 2020 graced us with a full moon lighting up the desert night and adding to the festivities. We finished their session with dusty dancing under the moonlight lit up by UTV’s, an epic way to end an epic Sedona elopement!
